  • Elon Musk vs Mark Zuckerberg: Musk Proposes 24-Hour Control Over Meta if Won?

Elon Musk vs Mark Zuckerberg: Musk Proposes 24-Hour Control Over Meta if Won?

The two renowned billionaires and geniuses Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg have been interacting on Twitter a lot lately. Not the interaction the world once hoped for between the two miraculous minds, but okay. After agreeing to the infamous Elon Musk vs Mark Zuckerberg cage fight at the Roman Colosseum, things have only escalated further.

    Meta Launched Threads, Musk Responded

After Meta’s Threads gained popularity, Elon Musk, the executive chairman of Twitter, said in a social media post that Meta, a text-based social network similar to Twitter, is “cheating” over the launch of Threads.

Threads, a brand-new text-based social network from Meta, went live in 100 nations on July 5. Days after Twitter’s rate limit fiasco, the app was released when the social media company momentarily restricted the number of posts users could read.

    Musk’s Parody Account

This parody account of Elon Musk has been known for tweeting hilariously impersonating Musk in tune with the moves the real Elon Musk makes.

In one of the latest tweets, the parody account suggests that the victor of the fight should acquire 24 hour control of the opponent’s social networking site. For instance, if Musk wins, he will have custody of Meta for one day. In a similar vein, Zuckerberg would rule Twitter for a day if he had won.

Recently, Musk and Zuckerberg have been a part of several conversations- offline and online. What’s amusing is the general public trying to differentiate parody accounts vs real ones. And when they think this fight will never really happen, recent events constantly hint towards it actually happening.

    Elon Musk’s Response

Though this was also started with the parody account, Musk personally responded to it. The parody account yet again tweeted calling Zuckerberg “Lizard Boy” and “see you in the cage Zuck”.

Elon Musk responded to this tweet by saying “So many people think this account is me”.

Elon Musk further took his personal tweets by insulting Mark Zuckerberg by saying “Zuck is a C*ck”, and then replying to the same one proposing a “literal d*ck measuring contest”.

Musk’s rage, though, extends beyond simple social media jabs. In a cease-and-desist letter to Zuckerberg, his attorney Alex Spiro charged that he had used “dozens of former Twitter employees” to produce a “copycat” program.

  • Domingo German Joins MLB’s Perfect Game Elite

Domingo German Joins MLB’s Perfect Game Elite

By pitching the 24th perfect game in Major League Baseball (MLB) history, Domingo Germán of the New York Yankees secured his place in baseball history with a spectacular display of pitching ability. The right-hander threw the 24th perfect game in MLB history in an 11-0 Yankees win Wednesday, setting down the moribund Oakland Athletics 27 in a row at a sparsely attended Oakland Coliseum. The 27 opposition batters were all retired by Germán, who displayed great skill and control by not allowing a single hit, walk, or baserunner to advance. This incredible accomplishment pushes Germán to the top tier of MLB pitchers and adds a noteworthy chapter to the illustrious history of perfect games in baseball.

    A Pitching Masterpiece

Domingo Germán pitched flawlessly against Oakland Athletics, showcasing his remarkable control and accuracy. Germán threw an amazing variety of pitches from the first inning to the last out, confusing the opposition’s batters and preventing them from making solid contact.

Germán’s flawless performance was evidence of his extraordinary talent and firm dedication. He routinely struck the corners of the strike zone throughout the game, producing weak ground balls, pop-ups, and strikeouts.

The previous game was also Germán’s second straight clunker, as he allowed seven earned runs in his previous start against the Boston Red Sox.

    Joining a Prestigious Club

Germán joins a select group of pitchers who have achieved perfection on the field by pitching the 24th perfect game in MLB history. With this remarkable feat, he joins the ranks of baseball greats like Sandy Koufax, Randy Johnson, and Roy Halladay, whose own perfect games established their names in baseball lore.

    Teamwork and Exceptional Defence

While Germán’s individual performance was exceptional, his teammates should also receive praise for their superior defensive play. To maintain the ideal, the Yankees’ fielders made a number of remarkable plays, including diving catches, acrobatic throws, and clever positioning. Their inputs were essential in making sure the game turned out well.

Adding to the Long History of Baseball

The illustrious history of baseball gains yet another noteworthy chapter thanks to Germán’s perfect game. A perfect game, in which a pitcher strikes out all 27 batters he faces, is a rare occurrence that best captures the romance and drama of America’s pastime. Each perfect game is evidence of the pitcher’s talent, mental toughness, and the team’s overall effort.

This momentous occasion will go down in baseball history as a noteworthy accomplishment and be permanently ingrained in the minds of fans and baseball fans everywhere.

Hong Kong Film Industry Alarmed: Censorship Deters Investors & Actors

A wave of worry and uncertainty is already sweeping Hong Kong’s thriving film industry as a result of the city’s recently enacted censorship ordinance. Industry actors, investors, and filmmakers are voicing concern about the legislation’s potential effects on their works and artistic freedom.

The Legislative Council passed amendments to the Film Censorship Ordinance in 2021, allowing the government to ban films deemed contrary to national security.

    Shaken Investor Confidence

Investors in the film industry are being cautious as a result of Hong Kong’s implementation of the National Security Law. Investor confidence has decreased as a result of concerns about potential censorship and getting involved brought on by the law’s unclear language and broad clauses. An already financially risky industry faces major challenges as a result of this additional uncertainty.

Talent Drain and Reduced International Appeal

There are worries that talented individuals would leave Hong Kong’s film business as a result of the censorship law’s adoption. Respected performers and directors who were once lured to the city’s vibrant arts community are now considering their future in a setting that is thought to be hostile to creative expression. Hong Kong’s standing as a center of high-caliber filmmaking is at risk due to this exodus of talent.

Uncertain Future for Hong Kong’s Film Legacy

Hong Kong has a long history in the film industry and is renowned for creating ground-breaking films that are well-liked by viewers all over the world. The continuation of this heritage is now in doubt due to the passage of the censorship law. The decline of creative freedom, according to filmmakers and industry insiders, will result in a loss of creativity, quality, and the distinctive cinematic offers that have characterized Hong Kong’s film industry.

The Film Division examines films intended for public exhibition under the three-tier film classification system.

  • Epic Game’s Fortnite Penalized After Constant Claims Of “Tricking Users”

Epic Game’s Fortnite Penalized After Constant Claims Of “Tricking Users”

The developer (Epic Games) of the well-known video game Fortnite has agreed to pay $520 million (£427 million) to settle US regulators’ charges that the game violated user privacy rules and deceived players into making payments.

According to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the company tricked users with “deceptive interfaces” that might prompt purchases even as the game was loading. It also accused it of using “privacy-invasive” default settings.

“No developer creates a game with the intention of ending up here,” the company said. “We accepted this agreement because we want Epic to be at the forefront of consumer protection and provide the best experience for our players.”

    Raising Increasing Concerns

More than 400 million people worldwide play Fortnite, a battle royale game that shot to fame after its 2017 release. Although the game may normally be downloaded for free, it is funded through in-game sales of things like costumes and dance techniques.

Even after making improvements to address internal and public concerns, the game’s producers disregarded rules involving parental consent, according to the FTC, despite the fact that it matched strangers from all over the world for interactive battles and was targeted at children and teenagers.

According to the complaint, the company had resisted altering its design to include a separate confirmation step because it was concerned that doing so “would add ‘friction’,’result in a decent number of people second-guessing their purchase’, and reduce the number of ‘impulse purchases’”.

    The Impact

The FTC announced Epic Games would pay $275 million to settle accusations it gathered child and teen data without parental authorization and exposed kids and teens to bullying and harassment by turning on voice and text conversations by default. This is a record fine for the consumer watchdog.

In addition to changing the privacy settings for kids and teenagers, Epic Games agreed to make chat communications off by default. The gaming company will also make a record payment of $245 million to resolve a different complaint over dishonest billing practices. This money will be used to repay clients.

A “counterintuitive, inconsistent, and confusing button configuration,” according to the FTC, caused hundreds of millions of dollars in unauthorized purchases.

  • Fake Verified Accounts Can Cascade The Platform Into Chaos

Fake Verified Accounts Can Cascade The Platform Into Chaos

Ever since Elon Musk purchased Twitter in a $44 Billion deal, the app has constantly been escalating into more and more chaos. Advertisers rush away, actual neo-Nazis are becoming verified, and imposter accounts are widespread. Additionally, Musk must find a way to pay the $1.2 billion in debt payments due annually or risk the company’s collapse.

The latest “Twitter Blue” policy which allows literally any account to rock that blue verified tick mark at $8 is taking turns even Musk wouldn’t have imagined. While the policy was made for the micro-blogging platform to collect extra revenue, it has now become a way for parody accounts to be the imposter as fake celebrities, authorities, or politicians’ Twitter accounts and tweet just about anything.

The two types of blue check accounts can no longer be visually differentiated from one another when tweets are shown in Twitter’s timeline. To do this, one would need to click through to a user’s follower count, which isn’t always a trustworthy indicator or look for any hints in their other tweets. The copy that appears when you click on the check mark directly from a profile page appears to be different as well, but like with anything on Twitter at the moment, that might change.

But one cannot deny that these fake tweets and the irony of the accounts they’re coming from are incredibly hilarious to witness.

    1. Trump Back And is Loveable By All?

Thanks to previous events and actions, former US president Donald Trump was banned from the platform. But well apparently he made a comeback- and his statements and tweet on the app are completely ironical to his real-life speeches.

However, through tweets like “Joe Biden is a fine man. Very great leader!” it is evident to any user that this account is fake, but well we can pretend for a second or two.

    1. Apple’s Apple Air Too Cheap For Anyone’s Liking

After launching iPhone14 and other models, “Apple” decided to apple-ise the air we breathe bringing Apple Air+ “a brand new innovative group of atoms specifically tuned to enhance your Apple Store experience”.

“AppleofCA” on Twitter announced this marvelous of a product making it uncannily resemble an official announcement that Apple lovers might just go and purchase their own Apple Air+.

    1. Mario is Really Angry

The beloved video game character Mario has been a friendly and goofy character to little kids ever since Nintendo launched. But it seems the new policies have angered the friendly little Mario.

When a verified account for Nintendo, “nintendoofus” tweeted the character showing the bird.

These and many more “subscribed not verified” impersonating accounts flooded Twitter and cascaded for Twitter to stop their verification-official account process just to look into these impersonating accounts and either suspend or take their blue tick away.
