The number of patients taking the COVID-19 test has increased since Thanksgiving in Iowa. Appointments can be made at the official website of GS Labs. This site is open 7 days a week and can test around 1,000 patients per day.

The GS Labs’ site which was earlier located on the Westown pathway has been shifted to 28801 University Avenue, Clive, IA 50325.

According to Dr. Darin Jackson, GS labs medical director, with the omicron variant rising, the lab intends to increase its testing capacity to serve the communities. And even trying to provide home rapid tests for patients in need of this critical medical information.

According to GS Labs, the testing has increased by more than 65% between last week and Thanksgiving week. The lab was able to identify more than 13000 patients currently positive for COVID-19.

The price for this Rapid Diagnostic test is $179 even though the insurance will pay for testing for most patients as required by law. Not all insurances are taken by the GS Lab. Patients are also required to make an online appointment before arrival.
