US FDA Gives Green Signal For Pharmacies To Sell Abortion Pills

safe and effective

After the Supreme Court overturned the federal right to abortion last year, demand for abortion pills increased as a result of some states outlawing or severely restricting access to the procedure. According to a new rule change by the Biden administration, retail pharmacies in the US can now dispense the abortion drug mifepristone. Mifepristone is currently only available in person from a medical professional as one of a two-drug regimen that is safe and effective for causing an abortion. The new regulation still calls for a prescription, but patients can now pick up the medication in person or via mail. The action may greatly increase the number of women who can seek medical abortions. Past Regulations According to the pro-choice Guttmacher Institute, more than half of abortions performed in the US are currently performed through pills rather than surgical procedures. As part of its pandemic-driven shift toward telemedicine, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced in December 2021 that it will permanently remove the necessity for individuals to receive a prescription in person from a healthcare professional. The New Approach Mifepristone, which is marketed by Danco Labs under the brand name Mifeprex and is also available as a generic, is no longer required to be administered by a healthcare professional in person at an approved clinic. It is still only available with a prescription, but the FDA’s new strategy makes it now collectible in-pharmacy or via mail order, reducing one barrier to more widespread access. The in-person condition put in place during COVID-19 is made permanent after having been temporarily suspended. For the REMS to allow pharmacies to distribute mifepristone, they must seek certification. “At a time when people across the country are struggling to obtain abortion care services, this modification is critically important to expanding access to medication abortion services and will provide healthcare providers with an additional method for providing their patients with a safe and effective option for ending early pregnancy,” said Danco. Pharmacies of all sizes and types, including corner drugstores, can now apply for certification to distribute mifepristone, enabling them to provide direct patient care when a patient has a prescription from a licensed prescriber. Both pharmacy chains Walgreens and CVS have stated they are looking into the new standards. It’s also conceivable that women in the more than a dozen states where pharmaceutical abortions are prohibited will have to travel to another state to get one.

Remittances To India Set To Hit A Whopping $100 Billion Milestone This Year

the world bank

India, the third-largest economy in Asia, is expected to become the first nation to receive $100 billion in remittances from migrant workers abroad, according to a World Bank report. Notably, the World Bank report stated that India had received $89.4 billion in remittances in 2021, making India the top recipient globally. According to the bank’s report, “remittance flows to India were enhanced by the wage hikes and a strong labour market in the United States” and other wealthy nations. As a result, India is likely to continue to be the top recipient of remittances this year. Remittances to India will increase by 12% to reach $100 billion this year, according to the World Bank. Other Nations’ growth in Remittances  According to the report, China will receive an estimated $51 billion in remittances this year, with Mexico coming in second place with $60 billion. The report provided a number of explanations for the increase in remittances to India, including a structural shift in immigration that took place over time from low-skilled jobs in Gulf countries to high-skilled jobs in high-income nations. According to the report, which cited a Reserve Bank of India survey, “between 2016–17 and 2020–21, the share of remittances from the United States, United Kingdom, and Singapore increased from 26% to over 36%, while the share from the 5 Gulf countries (Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman, and Qatar) dropped from 54 to 28%.” So why are remittances to India this year so high? The World Bank claims that there has been a “gradual shift in destinations” for Indian migrants, helped by a “structural shift in qualifications” that allowed them to enter the “highest-income-earner-category,” particularly in the services sector. According to the World Bank, “higher education mapped onto high-income levels with direct implications for remittance flows.” In the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations, migrants “moved from largely low-skilled, informal employment to a dominant share of high-skilled jobs in high-income countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and East Asia (Singapore, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand).” The report claimed that during the COVID-19 pandemic, Indian migrants in high-income countries benefited from work-from-home opportunities and sizable fiscal stimulus programs. Despite high global inflation, wage increases and “record-high employment conditions” enabled migrants to send money home as the pandemic subsided. “Price support policies kept inflation at bay… and demand for labor increased with higher oil prices, which in turn increased remittances for Indian labourers,” according to one study, despite the fact that Indian migrants in the Gulf Cooperation Council returned to India during the pandemic. According to the report, wage increases and a robust labour market in the United States and other OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) countries increased remittances to India. Governments in the GCC destinations protected migrant workers’ ability to remit by taking direct support measures to ensure low inflation. According to the brief, the depreciation of the Indian rupee against the US dollar—which fell 10% between January and September 2022—may have benefited Indian migrants and increased remittance flows In 2022, travel and vaccinations helped migrants get back to work, which increased remittances to the nation.

Free the Nipple: How Men Fought for Their Right to be Topless?

men and women

Imagine being on a beach. Relaxing under the sun with those cool shades on. Done? Now imagine being at a park jogging or exercising. Icky sweaty bodies everywhere (ew.) Okay. Last! A happening club. With loud EDM music and (again) sweaty bodies everywhere. Do you know what is common in all of these places? Shirtless men chilling around and about with no remorse, regrets, or repercussions. Men being topless is sort of “normalized” in today’s culture. Through social media, it is even more popularized to have topless men post photos- of workout routines, outfit checks, or just random experiences. You won’t imagine the scenario being the same for women though. It is considered indecent and even committing a sex offense if a woman posts similar photos or videos on these platforms. So has this always been the case? Men being comfortable in their skin and women being prohibited to do the same? As surprising as it sounds, No it has not. In the early 1900s, men and women in the United States were equally frowned upon for wearing no tops. Even men wore swimming costumes with sleeves and a breast cover.  Free The Nipple (Men’s) Some countries considered it a huge deal to have a man roaming around topless. On beaches, swimming pools, gyms, country clubs, anywhere everyone was expected to dress decently. People would go to great lengths to stop the public display of nipples back then in the case of both men and women.  In the 1920s, when they were required to wear full swimsuits with tank tops to cover their nipples and most of them made of wool, males who wished to swim shirtless encountered the same objections. Many swimming pools required swim skirts, so the more excellent versions even had them attached to heighten the mystery of what was happening below the waist. Fast forward to the 1930s, when men from Coney Island started to protest for the right to open swimming and bathing. This happened as a result of them being made to wear swimsuits that were nipple-stifling. They worked extremely hard for change and were even detained for the protection of their nipples. …and finally! Men were given the legal freedom to display their nipples in public in 1936. This set the stage for New York to become accepting of guys and their nipples. The Men’s “No Shirt Movement” Men kept revolting against being taught what they could and couldn’t do with their bodies, especially after noticing how ladies swooned when they saw Olympic swimmer Johnny Weissmuller baring his chest in the 1932 movie “Tarzan the Ape Man.” Not all women agreed with the opinions expressed by their non-Olympic peers. According to a June 29, 1936, Associated Press article, a group of pearl-clutching New Yorkers claimed they had “no desire to gaze upon hairy-chested men.” The men’s no-shirt movement dominated the summer of 1936, and incidents of dropped straps, protests, and arrests were common. However, the next year, in the heart of the male protests and numerous arrests, a protracted encounter with “bareback swimming,” as some dubbed it, caused one significant guy to reconsider his viewpoint. In the same year, a judge in New York overturned the ban and the men were allowed to flaunt, highlight and style their upper bodies however they pleased. The History of Nudity The social perceptions of the human body being naked in many historical cultures are included in the history of nudity. One of the changes that signal the end of the Neolithic and the start of civilizations is the usage of clothing to cover the body. In hunter-gatherer societies in warm climates, nudity (or near-complete nudity) has historically been the social norm for both men and women and is still widespread among many indigenous peoples. Human migration out of the tropics into regions with weather that requires clothing for protection from the sun, heat, and dust in the Middle East; or the cold and rain in Europe and Asia—is linked to the necessity to cover one’s body. Complete nakedness in public has become increasingly rare in modern societies as it has come to be linked with lesser status, indecency, or erotica. However, the moderate Mediterranean environment permitted minimal clothes, and in many ancient societies, the athletic and/or cultish nudity of men and women was a natural concept. Even if it may be seen in public baths or sensual art, being completely naked in public was frowned upon in ancient Rome. Nudity For Men And Women Throughout much of the 20th century, communal nudity was the norm in male-only settings in the United States and other Western nations. Males have historically been more likely than females to be expected to use shared showers in school locker rooms or swim in indoor pools while undressed.  These expectations stemmed from cultural assumptions that women require greater privacy than men. Schools, gymnasiums, and other similar establishments frequently required nude male swimming, partly due to sanitary considerations due to the use of wool swimsuits. At the time, social attitudes held that it was healthy and usual for men and boys to be nude alongside each other. Free The Nipple (Women’s Version) Women have been protesting for their rights for decades – starting from the very basic human rights to rights like voting and ruling countries. The same goes for the “top freedom” movement. There are certain double standards in the public eye regarding men and women. While some view men being topless as a simple expression of relaxation or a reaction to heat, if a woman is seen that way, several frowns and rolls of eyes are seen. Women can serve jail time and pay a handsome amount of fine while also registering as a sex offender if found “indecent.” Expanding topless rights is the subject of court cases and town council debates, but advocates are wary of opposition in New York, where discontent over painted topless women soliciting tips in Times Square has prompted state and city officials to consider

Will the Uptake Of Electric Vehicles Peak Between 2022 And 2025?

electric vehicles

More than $1 trillion is being invested by the automotive industry in a revolutionary switch from internal combustion engines to software-controlled electric vehicles. Automakers and government decision-makers have embraced the promise of electric cars to offer greener, safer transportation from Detroit to Shanghai. 2035 has been established as the cutoff date for the sale of new combustion-powered passenger vehicles by European nations and California. The Industry Rulers  Established manufacturers like Toyota Motor Corp (7203.T) and Volkswagen AG (VOWG p.DE) that were formerly hesitant to go electric have been humbled by Tesla Inc’s (TSLA.O) surge to become the world’s most valuable automaker after reaching a $1 trillion value last year. The world’s major markets will see a surge of new electric vehicles beginning in the next year, ranging from pickup trucks to middle-class SUVs and sedans. Industry leaders and forecasters disagree on how quickly electric vehicles might supplant conventional vehicles in even half of the world’s auto market. Battery electric vehicles occupy around 21% of the market in China, the largest automotive market worldwide. A little under 12% of all European passenger vehicle sales are electric vehicles. But the US’s market share of electric cars is currently around 6%. Hurdles to be Incurred  Industry executives and analysts identified several obstacles to EV adoption, including a lack of public fast-charging infrastructure and the rising cost of EV batteries. This results from a shortage of essential materials and uncertainty regarding government subsidies, which have boosted EV purchases in important markets like the United States, China, and Europe. According to AutoForecast Solutions, by 2029, electric vehicles may make up around 26% of all cars produced globally and a third of the North American market. According to AFS President Joe McCabe, sales of electric vehicles are unlikely to rise in a straight line. The adoption of EVs will be slowed if there is a recession next year, as many economists predict. In 2027, combustion vehicles are expected to account for just under 80% of sales in North America, according to Wards Intelligence. Wards analyst Haig Stoddard stated at a recent conference that manufacturers “expect strong ICE (internal combustion engine) volume heading into the next decade.” Deployment of electric vehicles till 2025 According to the most recent EY Mobility Consumer Index, which was covered by Electrek last week, 52% of consumers worldwide are interested in purchasing EVs (MCI). It signifies a rise of 22% points in just two years, and it is the first time that 50% has been surpassed. Growth Apprehension  The conclusions of BloombergNEF are in line with those of the EY study, as BloombergNEF predicts that the adoption of electric vehicles will continue to multiply through the year 2025 due to growing global legislative pressure, the availability of more electric car models, and rising customer demand. Sales of plug-in cars are expected to increase from 6.6 million in 2021 to 20.6 million in 2025, according to a Bloomberg NEF forecast. Plug-in vehicle sales are expected to increase from slightly under 10% in 2021 to 23% of new passenger car sales globally in 2025. Of those, 75% will be entirely electric. The researchers don’t envision plug-in hybrids earning a sizable market share outside of Europe, and they project that their global sales will peak around 2026. Sales of fuel cell vehicles are anticipated to rise significantly due to efforts in China, but generally, they won’t have appreciable effects on the passenger vehicle market. It is anticipated that the US market will lag somewhat. It is expected to increase from 2023, but in 2025, it will likely only account for 15% of the worldwide electric vehicle market. According to the EY study, customers in Australia (38%) and the US (29%) are the least committed to converting to electric vehicles.

Will China Give The World A Throwback To COVID-19? China Records A Million Cases

Covid

While the rest of the globe has been reporting a few infections daily over the previous few months, China is experiencing a rapid rise in Covid cases and deaths. Several sources claim that the Chinese healthcare system is under stress due to an increase in infections and fatalities. New questions concerning the pandemic have been prompted by the current scenario in China, such as “Why are Covid instances rising in China now?” and “Will the same problem repeat itself in the rest of the world?” The Real Picture According to a fresh analysis from a London-based analytics business, Bloomberg reported Thursday that China, which is fighting to manage what is possibly the largest Covid-19 outbreak the world has ever seen, maybe record a million Covid-19 cases and 5,000 fatalities every 24 hours. According to Airfinity Ltd., the current wave of cases, which has been made worse by China’s insistence on abandoning Covid protocols as well as the appearance of BF.7, a new Omicron subvariant, could rise to 3.7 million daily new cases by the end of the month and a terrifying 4.2 million by the end of March. Why China? Experts claim that following the initial Covid virus outbreak in China, the government occasionally adopted the zero-covid policy, resulting in extremely stringent lockdown conditions that prevented people from being exposed to more recent sub-variants like Delta or Omicron. Because of this, the average level of immunity in China did not rise to the same degree as it did in the rest of the globe. The relaxation of the zero-covid policy is now causing a significant increase in infections because the majority of Chinese people were not exposed to different sub-variants of the virus on a widespread basis. Another factor is that 130 million old individuals in China are at risk for immunization failure or non-immunization. If the virus spreads unchecked in China, mortality in this population would most likely be quite high—possibly exceeding 1 million. According to leading Chinese epidemiologist Eric Feigl-Ding, 1-2 million fatalities could occur overall as a result. The Bigger Picture Having spent the last two years in a pandemic, and only recently the world getting back to “normal”, this new widespread spread of the same virus has raised some questions and eyebrows.  It’s not just a health emergency that COVID-19 is spreading. The pandemic now has a geopolitical component. The health crisis disrupted the delivery of global public goods, exacerbated competitive dynamics between the USA and China, and introduced instability into the global order. The “game changer” cluster mutations present in the Covid-19 virus are of great concern. These make the virus more transmissible, highly infectious. Also able to dodge human immune systems’ antibodies produced by earlier infections and vaccinations. There were more than 10 mutations in these problematic variations. There were 18 mutations in the Delta variant. This genetically modified chimeric virus has been improved by gain of function-accelerated manual mutations, resulting in several variants. Under the guise of an on and off pandemic, the sudden development of cluster mutations in some parts of the world would raise the potential of deliberate biowar. What Now? It’s challenging to predict whether the world would experience another wave of Covid because there is now no precise information available from China regarding how the new sub-variant of Omicron BF.7, which is driving this new wave, is changing. Let’s hope that the situation doesn’t arise since the rest of the globe has better immunity from earlier exposure to the virus and better vaccinations. All we can do is take the precautions we took before and hope we don’t get 2023 as a 2.0 version of 2020.

Canada’s Climate Change New Regulations Encourage Adoption of Zero-Emission Vehicles

Zero-Emission Vehicles

Canadians have clearly stated that they want a healthy economy, clean air, and good jobs. Since 2015, the Canadian government has taken the lead in the battle against climate change and made more progress toward creating a sustainable economy than any other government in history. The 2030 Emissions Reduction Plan, which puts Canada on a course to achieve at least a 40% reduction in emissions by 2030, is made up in large part of the proposed rules, which aid in reducing emissions from our transportation. The government made the proposed regulations public on December 21, 2022, and a formal 75-day consultation process will begin after they are published in Part I of the Canada Gazette on December 31, 2022. Opinions Before Decisions The Canadian government consulted with stakeholders in March to get their opinions on encouraging the adoption of zero-emission vehicles in the light-duty vehicle sector. All parties agreed that maintaining compliance with US greenhouse gas standards is crucial for cutting vehicle emissions of greenhouse gasses while maintaining the industry’s competitiveness. Some believed that a standard strategy for zero-emission vehicles would be necessary to bring about revolutionary change, generate the market certainty required to speed up the transition to zero-emission vehicles, and make the decisions and long-term investments required (including electricity generation and distributors). More people had differing views on the adoption of a zero-emission vehicle standard, with most automakers opposing it and non-governmental groups firmly in support, emphasizing how it can spur electrification while sending a powerful long-term investment signal. “Zero-emission vehicles are where the rubber hits the road for cost-conscious Canadians who want to help the environment while getting off the roller-coaster of high gasoline prices,” Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Steven Guilbeault, said. New Regulations All businesses that produce in Canada or import into Canada to sell automobiles to the initial retail buyer would be subject to the proposed regulations. They will only apply to new passenger cars, SUVs, and pickup truck makers and importers; they do not apply to emergency and fire-fighting vehicles. The evidence from other nations and from states like British Columbia and Quebec, as well as from other provinces, is abundant and unmistakable: when paired with supportive investments, a regulated zero-emission vehicle sales target expands consumer choice and hastens the move away from internal combustion engine vehicles. Because of this, the Canadian government is also expanding financial assistance for buying ZEVs, investing in charging stations, and assisting in the establishment of a Canadian battery supply chain that incorporates essential minerals and manufacturing. The Incredible ZEVs The term “zero-emission vehicle” (ZEV) refers to a variety of vehicles, including battery-electric vehicles that run solely on electricity, fuel-cell electric vehicles that run on hydrogen, and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles that can run exclusively on electricity for a set minimum distance before switching to hybrid operation, which uses both electricity and liquid fuels. Because they allow for some electricity use while keeping the use of fossil fuels when necessary, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles are likely to play a significant role in northern and rural regions shortly. Pickup trucks, SUVs, and hatchbacks with two- and four-wheel drive are all currently offered as ZEVs, and more will be in the following few years. Even in extremely cold temperatures, electric cars can be driven. Cold-weather nations like Norway, where over 70% of new car sales are ZEVs, are a common place for ZEVs.

Autonomous Vehicles: Key to Change the Face of the Auto Industry

Autonomous Vehicles

With smart cities and technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) increasingly contributing to our way of life, the global autonomous (semi and fully) car market is expected to reach nearly $62 billion by 2026, up from $21 billion in 2020, at a CAGR of 22.75%. How have autonomous vehicles evolved up to this point? Autonomous vehicles (AVs) technology is being used in a variety of vehicles around the world to meet both commercial and personal transportation needs. They rely on AI and machine learning to boost the level of intelligence used by comprehending human participation. As autonomous vehicle (AV) technology advances, high definition (HD) maps with the ability to decipher map objects and draw logical conclusions are being integrated into vehicles. HD maps extend visibility beyond the driver’s field of view, providing an accurate representation of the road ahead as well as information about the surrounding environment. The intelligence of AVs is attributed to the billions of map data points fed into the vehicles’ AI and ML systems, which allows them to make decisions while navigating. In turn, the accuracy of the map inputs is determined by the array of sensors, cameras, and radar systems. However, the AV’s ability to successfully comprehend the path and respond appropriately is dependent on the AI built into the system. Self- Driving: The latest move by the AV industry It’s the latest step by the AV sector to distance itself from the phrase “self-driving,” which many observers read as an acknowledgement of Tesla’s effect on public understanding of the technology. Tesla provides a feature dubbed “Full Self-Driving,” which is a beta version of a sophisticated driver-assist system that manages parts of the car’s operations on local roads but still requires human supervision. Autonomous vehicles, on the other hand, are vehicles that may run on public highways without human intervention or supervision. Industries that stand to gain from the EV-AV transition It is expected that moving from level 1 to level 5 AVs would result in a significant reduction in worldwide traffic fatalities. Because the AVs will be networked and connected to traffic management systems, they will be able to plan their speed and routes accordingly, resulting in a vastly cleaner environment, less air pollution, and a significantly lower rate of accidents and road congestion. This will save many hours of commuting time, and the worth of such advances is nearly incalculable. The whole nature of vehicle ownership may alter as well, with resources dedicated to a more “use-the-AV-service-when-you-need-it-and-pay” approach.  This strategy encourages the presence of the ride-sharing industry and the expansion of current ride-sharing firms. Furthermore, the EV engine’s fuel and maintenance savings, along with AV technology, allow for increased use, lowering transportation expenses. Adoption of EV and AV technology poses risks and problems. Despite the potential benefits, the fast adoption of EV and AV technologies may result in employment displacement in the transportation sector, both on the production and delivery sides. In a driverless world, fleet drivers and the driving community may face job losses. Cybersecurity issues have generated hurdles that might stymie the expansion of the autonomous vehicle business. The hazards of tapping into technology and seizing control of the antivirus software remain. There will be opposition to complete adoption until a comprehensive cybersecurity plan is implemented to keep both automobiles and their occupants secure. Do autonomous vehicles have a future? The driverless cars of the future will do more than just transport people. The full automation of the delivery and shipping business will have a significant influence. This year was important in the United States because a business gained the first regulatory safety permit for an autonomous vehicle meant to carry groceries. The estimated timeline for the commercialized use of autonomous cars has been extended owing to certain setbacks in the final years of the past decade leading to speculations that level 5 autonomous vehicles might be arriving later than expected. As a result, low-speed autonomous vehicles designed for short trips will be the first autonomous vehicles to be used widely. However, despite several challenges, analysts and industry experts believe that level 5 autonomy could be closer than we thought.

Mixed Reality: The Ideal Combination of Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality

Mixed

These days, we spend a lot of time staring at screens. Our lives now revolve largely around computers, smartphones, and televisions; we use them to access social media, watch movies, and much more. Both augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) are emerging technologies that are revolutionising how we interact with screens. There is a lot of discussion about “virtual reality” and “augmented reality.” The Oculus Quest and Valve Index are two popular VR headsets, and AR apps and games like PokemonGo are still widely used. They have similar sounds, and as the technologies advance, they converge somewhat. However, they are two very distinct ideas with features that make it easy to tell one from the other. What Is Virtual Reality? VR headsets completely obstruct your view to make it seem as though you are somewhere else. When you wear opaque headsets, such as the HTC Vive Cosmos, PlayStation VR, Oculus Quest, Valve Index, and others, your surroundings are obscured. You might mistakenly believe you are wearing blindfolds if you put them on while they are off. Through the use of a headset and some sort of screen showing a virtual environment, virtual reality immerses you in a virtual world. These headsets also employ head tracking technology, which enables you to physically turn your head to look around the surrounding area. You will be able to see the virtual environment from every angle because the display will follow your movements in every direction Augmented reality You can view the physical world around you while having digital images superimposed on it thanks to augmented reality. The Microsoft HoloLens and the MagicLeap are two AR headsets that are currently on the market. They are marketed primarily to businesses and are currently more expensive than VR headsets. Without a headset, augmented reality can also be used on computers, smartphones, and laptops. There are many apps that use augmented reality, some of which let you translate text using your camera, identify stars in the sky, and even visualize how different plants would look in your garden. You may have even used augmented reality (AR) before without realizing it when using Snapchat filters or playing games like Pokemon Go. The Distinction contrasting AR and VR Despite having similar device designs, virtual reality and augmented reality achieve two very different goals in two very different ways. Virtual reality transports you away from reality. AR enhances reality by superimposing information over what you can already see. Both of these strong technologies have great potential but have not yet established themselves with consumers. They have the potential to fundamentally alter how we use computers in the future, but it’s unclear at this point whether either of them will be successful. Businesses and developers are implementing augmented reality (AR) or virtual reality (VR) or both in marketing, education, training, remote assistance, physical activity, patient diagnosis, gaming, and entertainment, among many other fields. Some people might be unsure of which one to have, though. VR and AR work well together A symbiotic relationship of superior systems is created when AR and VR are used together. Even though they can function separately, together they provide users with a better and more interesting experience. The idea behind this is to construct a world of fiction that still permits communication with the real world. You can use TeamViewer to implement both augmented reality and virtual reality with great software solutions Mixed Reality: The Ideal Combination Mixed reality is the ideal union of augmented reality and virtual reality. It is anticipated that this technology will soon be widely used by consumers and businesses. It is based on making intuitive data interaction possible and getting rid of screen-based work. Instead, these stationary device tasks can be performed by handheld devices. It will be simpler to target centralized data anywhere and at any time, which is the obvious benefit.

WhatsApp’s New Accidental Delete Feature Will Save You From Those Embarrassing Texts

WhatsApp’s

The new WhatsApp feature called ‘Accidental Delete’ will help you avoid those awkward moments when you accidentally send a message to the wrong person or group and click the wrong button. The “Accidental Delete Feature” was designed primarily to protect users from embarrassment when they inadvertently select “Delete for Me” rather than “Delete for Everyone” when deleting an important communication. Using the undo function, the deleted message can be quickly recovered. We’ve all done it, but now you can “UNDO” when you delete a message for only yourself when you meant to delete it for everyone, according to the company. Notes to remember before using WhatsApp delete for everyone To successfully delete messages for everyone, you and the recipients must be using the most recent version of WhatsApp. Even after the message is deleted from the WhatsApp chat, recipients using WhatsApp for iOS may still have the media you sent saved to their Photos. Recipients may see your message before it is deleted or if deletion fails. If deleting for everyone fails, you will not be notified. You have approximately 2 days after sending a message to request Delete for Everyone. Only group administrators have the ability to delete messages sent by other group members. After someone else sends a message, group admins have about 2 days to request Delete for Everyone. Read on to learn how to use the “Accidental Delete Undo” feature. 1. Open the WhatsApp application. 2. Start any conversation you’re having. 3. Click “Delete for Me” to delete any irrelevant messages. 4. There will be a “undo” option at the snack bar. 5. Using the undo option, you can quickly recover the message. 6. Keep in mind that the undo option is only available for a limited time. If the message is not clicked within the time limit, it will be permanently deleted. 7. If you don’t see the undo option after deleting a message, update WhatsApp to the most recent version.

Neuralink: Elon Musk Faces Trials for Violating Treat and Test Regulations

elon musk

Elon Musk has been in and out of the headlines these last few months. From his Twitter deal to his sudden and rough decisions regarding the platform.  Throughout this drama, the general public has forgotten why Elon Musk is where he is right now. He is one of the most brilliant people on this planet. From the invention of Tesla to numerous developments with the car, Elon Musk is no stranger to divisive and absurd concepts. He has promised to have a prototype of a 5’8″ tall robot butler available sometime in 2022. Has considered nuking Mars to make it more habitable, and mass-produced a “flamethrower” that was immediately outlawed in numerous jurisdictions. Musk’s Neuralink Project The 2016-founded company Neuralink is developing a brain implant that will allow paralyzed people to move again and treat other neurological conditions. Neuralink is one of several odd ventures Musk has undertaken. a brain implant that claims to improve cognitive function, help people with disabilities, interact with electrical equipment, and even transfer their memories to the cloud. Although it may sound grandiose, Neuralink’s testing has advanced significantly. If Neuralink fulfills an earlier forecast from Elon Musk, it might go from operating on monkeys to human trials within the year. He originally mentioned his work with the monkey implants in February and then stated the company intended to begin human trials by the end of the year. The implant is made up of a chip and a few minute threads that connect to different regions of the brain. Additionally, a wireless charger is available so that users can charge their Neuralink implant from the outside. People would learn how to interact with the device and pair it with other Bluetooth-enabled things using an app. Brain activity can be read and written by the chip implants. Musk calls the brain-machine interface “a Fitbit in your skull” and thinks it could do anything from cure paralysis to grant people psychic abilities. “Neuralink is working super hard to ensure implant safety & is in close communication with the FDA. If things go well, we might be able to do initial human trials later this year.” – Elon Musk about Neuralink Through a live stream, Musk and his Team discussed their vision with Neuralink and the benefits and gains it could do to humanity if and when it is a success. Musk and Neuralink anticipate that installing their chip will one day be a simple and easy process. He asserted that the treatment could thereafter be completed in less than an hour in a doctor’s office. The business has created a robot to “reliably and effectively” insert the threads of the chip into the appropriate regions of the brain. But according to Neuralink, the initial test subjects will endure standard brain surgery, including having holes bored through their skulls. Animal Trials Since its establishment in 2016, the company has been trying and testing the chip through animal testing. Unfortunately having killed roughly 1500 animals in the process, the chip is still under development though the company aims for human trials in the next 6 months.  Recently a video was shared coming from the labs of Neuralink showing a demo with a monkey performing what is said to be “telepathic typing”. This was made possible with the insertion of the Neuralink chip inside the monkey.  Following allegations from inside workers, Neuralink is reportedly the subject of a government inquiry into possible violations of animal welfare. According to the article, internal documentation and sources indicate that animal testing is proceeding too swiftly, which results in unnecessary suffering and death for the animals. This unique initiative by Elon has received mixed opinions from the general public. While this took a part of the internet in a frenzy and people were quite concerned and enraged for the innocent animals killed due to the trial, some saw how this project would benefit several human beings by assisting them through their disability.
